CHOOSE YOUR COVERAGE

Compare auto insurance coverage.

Liability

Helps pay for injuries or property damage you cause to others, up to your selected limits. It does not pay to repair your own car.

Collision

Helps pay for covered damage to your car from a collision with another vehicle or object, subject to your deductible.

Comprehensive

Helps pay for covered theft, hail, fire and other damage unrelated to a collision. Review the deductible and policy exclusions.

Coverage depends on the policy’s terms and limits.

Which coverage questions fit your situation?

Financing or leasing a car

Check your lender or lease requirements before choosing coverages and deductibles.

Considering state-minimum liability

Review the existing 30/60/25 guide, then ask about limits and protection for damage to your own car.

START WITH THE BASICS

What does 30 / 60 / 25 mean?

Texas’s minimum auto liability limits are commonly called 30/60/25. Here is what those numbers mean.

$30,000Bodily injury per person
$60,000Bodily injury total per accident
$25,000Property damage per accident

These limits concern injuries and property damage you cause to others. They do not include protection for damage to your own car. Ask about higher limits when comparing quotes.

BEFORE YOU CHOOSE

Three choices worth a conversation.

PIP and medical expenses

Texas policies include personal injury protection unless you reject it in writing. PIP can help with medical bills and certain other costs, including lost wages. Ask how it fits with your other coverage.

Uninsured drivers

Texas insurers must offer uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage. Declining it requires a written rejection. Review the protection and cost before making that choice.

Compare the actual quote

Put the coverages, limits and deductibles side by side. If one quote costs less, ask what changed. Our team can walk through the choices with you before you decide.

Quote preparation and comparison: our auto insurance comparison worksheet.

Start with your ZIP code
  1. Drivers, vehicles and address

Gather driver’s license numbers, each vehicle’s VIN, driving history and the address where the vehicle is kept. Tell the team about a new commute or a student away from home.

  2. Match the coverage choices

Use your declarations page to compare liability limits, PIP and UM/UIM choices, and collision and comprehensive deductibles. Compare the total premium for the same policy length.

  3. Check the start date

Review the payment schedule and the date you want coverage to begin. Confirm your new policy is in force before canceling existing coverage.

QUESTIONS FROM SHOPPERS

A little clarity
for Texas drivers.

Can your office help if I live outside Lubbock?

Yes. Keith is licensed to serve Texas drivers, and you can contact our Lubbock team by phone or email. You can also start your quote online from this page.

Does the state minimum include damage to my own car?

No. Liability and protection for your own vehicle are different coverage choices. Tell us whether your car is financed or leased, and ask which coverages and deductibles you need to compare.

Where do I finish the quote?

Enter your ZIP code here to continue to GEICO’s quote website with Keith Roberts’s agency information. Choose Auto and enter your quote details on GEICO. Starting a quote does not put coverage in force.

Can I review home or renters coverage, too?

Yes. Explore our homeowners or renters page to request help. Ask which discounts you qualify for; availability and eligibility vary.

What if I am adding a driver or buying a car?

Use our teen and new driver guide or new-car checklist to prepare. Confirm the effective date and coverage with the insurer before relying on a policy.

Where can I explore discounts or a collector vehicle?

Review potential auto discounts. If you own a collector vehicle, ask about classic car insurance rather than assuming a standard auto policy fits its use and value.
