Understand the liability starting point.
GEICO’s Louisiana motorcycle guide lists minimum liability limits of $15,000 per person and $30,000 per accident for bodily injury, plus $25,000 for property damage. Ask about higher limits and separate protection for your motorcycle.
Describe the bike beyond its model name.
Bring a list of added equipment such as luggage, a replacement seat or other custom parts. Ask which items the quote covers, whether receipts are needed and whether a separate limit applies. A stock motorcycle quote may not answer every equipment question.

Plan for where the bike stays.
If the motorcycle spends time outdoors, in a garage or at a separate storage address, tell us. Ask what protection remains when it is parked and how the deductible applies to a covered theft or weather loss. Keep photos and equipment records for your own reference.
