GEICO’s South Dakota guide lists $25,000 per person and $50,000 per accident for bodily injury liability and $25,000 for property damage, plus $25,000/$50,000 uninsured and underinsured motorist bodily injury coverage.
Uninsured motorist protection is not car-repair coverage.
South Dakota’s Division of Insurance explains that uninsured motorist coverage addresses injuries, not damage to your vehicle. Ask separately about the collision and comprehensive selections and their deductibles.

Comprehensive coverage generally addresses specified non-collision events, including hail and glass damage, subject to the contract. Ask how the deductible works and whether a separate glass provision applies. If a rental vehicle matters to you during repairs, review that option too.
